Kindred Web Studio
Websites for Adult Family Homes
Puyallup, WA · Care-Home Websites for All 50 States

Your home cares for families. Your website should feel the same way.

Kindred Web Studio designs websites built specifically for Adult Family Homes — the kind a daughter can read on her phone at midnight, trust by morning, and use to book a tour by lunch. Warm photos, clear care services, your license on display, and simple forms for families and caregivers.

  • Built only for care homes & local services
  • You talk directly with the designer
  • Founding-client pricing — first 3 homes

The first impression families get is your website.
Before they ever see your porch, they see your homepage. We make it feel like home.

Families choose a home with their hearts first. Your website should show the warmth they’ll feel on a tour — real rooms, real care, plain honest words.

Made for Adult Family Homes

The details generic web designers miss

An AFH website isn’t a restaurant menu or a contractor page. It speaks to two audiences at once: the owner running the home, and the family trusting you with someone they love. Every Kindred site is built around both.

Family inquiry form

Collects only what’s needed for a first conversation — name, contact, and a short note. No medical details in an ordinary web form, ever.

Tour request form

Families pick a day that suits them and the request lands straight in your inbox — no phone tag, no missed visits.

Caregiver application form

Good caregivers find you. A simple application page collects experience, certifications, and availability professionally.

Care services & home pages

Memory care, medication support, meals, activities, rooms, and daily life — written so families understand your care in one visit.

License & trust signals

Your state license, specialties, and years of care shown where families look for reassurance — not buried in a footer.

Built to be read by everyone

Large, clear type and high contrast for older readers; layouts that work with walkers, wheelchairs, and one hand on a phone.

Google Business Profile

Setup or cleanup of the listing families actually find first — hours, photos, services, and the map pin in the right place.

Questions families really ask

An FAQ that answers cost, staffing, visits, and move-in questions honestly — so your phone calls start warmer.

Whatever your state calls it, we build for it

  • Adult Family Home
  • Adult Foster Home
  • Residential Care Home
  • Personal Care Home
  • Adult Care Home
  • Board-and-Care Home

Every state has its own name for the same kind of home — small, residential, family-style care. That’s Kindred’s specialty under every name it goes by: if families live in your home and you care for them around the clock, you’re exactly who we build for, in all 50 states.

Our Customers · Live Websites

Real homes, live websites — our first customers

Kindred started here, inside Washington’s adult family home community — including my own family’s homes. These founding customers are real homes with live Kindred websites, not a mockup gallery — and from this base we now build for care homes in all 50 states. Visit their sites and see exactly what we’d build for you.

Meet the Team

The team is Kevin — and that’s the point

Kindred is a one-person studio on purpose — you always deal with Kevin, start to finish. No hand-offs, no account managers, no explaining your home to a stranger twice.

Kevin, out from behind the desk — a spring day in the tulip fields with family.

Kevin Kago
Founder & Designer · Puyallup, WA

Before websites, my career was operations. I served as a Captain and logistics officer in the US Marine Corps (2010–2018), and since then I’ve led warehouse and distribution operations teams across the Puget Sound region; my degree is in business, from UCLA. Running complex operations teaches you one thing above all: systems should serve people, never the other way around.

Care homes aren’t a market I researched — they’re my family’s daily life. My wife Eunice is the licensed provider at our own home, Blessed Place AFH here in Puyallup, and my mother and sisters run adult family homes locally too. I built the websites for all three family homes — the ones in Our Customers above — after watching families struggle to find them online, even though the care inside was wonderful. Kindred is me doing the same for other home owners.

What it’s like to work with me: you talk directly with the person designing your site. I answer my own phone and my own email. Every project starts with a written scope and an honest price — no tech jargon, no sales team, no call centers.

Backed by a family of care-home providers: Eunice at Blessed Place AFH in Puyallup, and family homes in Auburn, Federal Way, and Milton — the same homes whose websites you can visit above. When Kevin designs for care homes, he’s designing for his own family’s world.

  • Private logins for you and your staff — nothing is public
  • Proven in daily use: we built exactly this for Blessed Place AFH, where it runs the home’s admin today

The Honest Comparison

Could you do it yourself? Honestly — here’s what that actually takes

Website builders are real, and in dollars they’re cheap — plenty of good homes start there. We’d rather show you the whole picture than talk you out of it: the builder fee is the small part. The real cost of DIY is your time, and the jobs below are where it goes.

The jobs on your list if you build it yourself

  • Learning the builder — templates, settings, and how the pages fit together, before you’ve written a word.
  • Writing every word yourself — services, about, FAQ — in language a worried family trusts at midnight.
  • Preparing your photos — sizing and compressing them so pages load fast instead of timing out on a phone.
  • Building forms that actually deliver — an inquiry form and a caregiver application that reach your inbox, every time, tested.
  • Making it readable for everyone — large type and clear contrast for elderly family members reading on small phones.
  • Connecting the domain — plus hosting and the security certificate, so the address you print on your cards actually works.
  • Setting up your Google Business Profile correctly — the right category, services, hours, and photos, so families find the real you.
  • Testing everything — every link, form, and page on real phones before you share the address with anyone.

What DIY sites usually miss — in this niche

These aren’t design flourishes. They’re the details that decide whether a family calls your home or the next one:

  • Forms that ask the right first-conversation questions — enough to start a real conversation, with no medical details collected in a web form.
  • License and specialty display where families look for reassurance — not buried where nobody finds it.
  • Wording written for care-home families — not generic small-business copy that could describe a plumber.
  • A clear caregiver application path — so hiring doesn’t run through your personal inbox and text messages.
  • The trust signals placement agents and discharge planners look for before they’ll refer a family to you.

Why owners hand it to Kindred instead

  • Built only for care homes. We speak AFH because we come from this community — the forms, wording, and trust signals above are our starting point, not an add-on.
  • You talk directly with the designer. No call centre, no hand-offs, no explaining your home to a stranger twice.
  • Everything agreed in writing first — scope, price, a simple 50% deposit, and your revision rounds — before any work begins.
  • You own your domain and accounts. We manage them with your permission; nothing is held hostage if you ever move on.
  • Launch is tested end-to-end — forms, links, phones, and email delivery — before your address goes on a single business card.
  • Founding-client pricing, while it lasts. The prices above are for the first three clients; after that, package prices rise.
The honest bottom line: if you have the time and you’d enjoy building it, a DIY site can work — lots of good homes start that way, and we’ll never pretend otherwise. If your hours are worth more spent on your residents, your staff, and your own family, the lists above are exactly what we take off your plate. Either way, one promise we won’t make — and no honest designer can — is guaranteed search rankings or guaranteed leads. What we promise is the work itself, done properly and agreed in writing. Tell us about your home and we’ll take it from there.
Working With Your Budget

Tell me what you can spend — I’ll tell you honestly what it covers

There’s a budget field in the request form for a reason: I’d rather build you the right site for the money you have than oversell you one you don’t need. Here’s what each range realistically covers.

Under $300

Honest guidance first: a Starter one-page website — or start with a Google Business Profile setup ($99) and take a place on the founding-client waitlist for a full site.

$300 – $599

A Starter Website, or the Business Website at founding-client pricing while those first three slots last.

$600 – $999

The Business Website — or the full AFH Professional package, with the family inquiry questionnaire and caregiver application form.

$1,000+

AFH Professional with add-ons like extra pages or a care plan — or the Growth Website for larger and multi-location homes.

Whatever your budget: you get a written quote before anything starts, a simple 50% deposit plan to spread the cost, and a phased option — launch the core pages now and add more later as your home grows. If your budget can’t cover what you actually need, I’ll say so plainly and tell you what I’d do in your place. Tell me your budget in the request form and we’ll work out the right scope together.

Current Promotions

Honest offers, while they’re open

No fake countdowns and no permanent “sale.” Promotions open and close on real numbers — how many requests are coming in, how many builds I can take on well, and whether the studio is meeting its income goals.

Founding-Client Pricing

Business Website $599 and AFH Professional $799 for the first three paying clients, in exchange for feedback and a testimonial. When the third project is booked, founding pricing closes and standard pricing begins.

$100 Bundle Saving

Book any website package together with Google Business Profile work and save $100. One discount per project — offers don’t stack.

Now Open · AFH Owners

Free Website Review

No website yet, or one that isn’t working? I’ll review your online presence and tell you plainly what I’d fix first — no obligation, no pressure.

How I decide when promotions run

  • Quiet weeks open a visibility offer. If fewer than 3 new website requests arrive in a 14-day stretch, a promotion like the free review or a bundle saving opens to bring good homes through the door.
  • Quotes without bookings get value, not discounts. If fewer than 3 in 10 quotes turn into deposits, the next promotion adds value — an extra revision round or Google profile work included — instead of cutting prices.
  • Full books pause promotions. When two builds are already underway, or the month’s income goal is met, promotions close so every current client keeps my full attention and launch dates hold.
  • Prices are reviewed after every three completed projects. That’s the rhythm founding pricing runs on — fair today, sustainable tomorrow.
Referral Program

Good homes know good homes

Most AFH owners know three others. If you send one my way and they book, you both come out ahead — it’s that simple.

$50 credit

Yours, every time someone you referred books and pays for a website. Credits apply to any package, add-on, or care plan — and the person you referred gets a warm welcome and a free website review before they commit.

  • 1
    Neighbour — 1 paid referral

$50 credit toward your next package, add-on, or care-plan month.

  • 3
    Advocate — 3 paid referrals

$150 in credits, plus a free Google Business Profile refresh for your home.

  • 5
Kindred Partner — 5 paid referrals

$250 in credits, a free month of Care + Local Visibility, and first priority when build slots open.

Partners who refer with confidence

Some of the best introductions come from people families already trust:

  • Placement agents & advisors — when a family asks “how do I find this home online?”, you have an answer.
  • Hospital discharge planners & case managers — homes with clear websites are easier to place into and easier to explain.
  • Fellow AFH owners — the kitchen-table recommendation is still the strongest one in this community.

The fine print, in plain words

  • Credit is issued after the referred client’s project is paid — never before.
  • Tell me who sent you in the request form — there’s a field for it, so nobody’s credit gets lost.
  • Discounts don’t stack on the same project — the best single offer applies.
  • Existing clients also get 10% off add-on work — my thanks for staying.

Finding Kindred

You don’t have to know us to find us

Referrals bring in wonderful clients — but if you’re an AFH owner or a local business searching for a website right now, here’s where Kindred shows up, and how owners who’ve never met us discover the studio.

Our own Google Business Profile

Search “web designer near me” or “adult family home website” from Puyallup and our Google profile is right there — services, hours, reviews, and tap-to-call. We practice exactly what we set up for clients.

Written for the searches owners make

Our pages answer the questions AFH owners actually type into Google — what an AFH website costs, what families look for, how a Google profile fills beds. Find us by searching the problem, not our name.

Newly licensed homes

When a home appears on its state’s care-home locator, its owner usually needs a website next. We welcome newly listed homes — in any state — with a free website review: no pitch, just useful first steps.

In the AFH community, in person

Adult Family Home Council of Washington events, provider trainings, and local owner meetups — we’d rather shake a hand and answer questions face to face than hide behind an ad.

Where owners talk shop online

AFH and residential care-home owner groups on Facebook are where this community swaps advice daily, state by state. We’re there answering website questions and sharing what works — being helpful first, hired second.

Small, targeted Google ads

When build slots are open, we run modest Google ads on the exact phrases owners search — things like “adult family home website designer Washington.” When we’re fully booked, the ads pause. Our capacity rules decide, not a sales quota.

Data & Privacy

Your data stays yours — full stop

A good website can quietly gather the information your home needs — and it should never gather anything more. Here’s exactly what Kindred can set up for you, and the lines we never cross.

What we can set up for your home

  • Family inquiry forms — the questions you choose, delivered straight to your inbox.
  • Tour requests — families ask for a visit; you get the details you need to call back.
  • Visitor feedback & surveys — hear from families and visitors in their own words.
  • Basic site statistics — how many people visited and which pages they read, in clear, plain-language reports we share with you.

The lines we never cross

  • Only what visitors choose to submit through your site’s forms, plus basic anonymous site statistics. Nothing else is collected — we do not access, browse, or collect anyone’s personal, private, or secure data beyond that.
  • Protected with encryption: encrypted connections (HTTPS) on every page and form, encrypted storage where data is kept, and private logins — access limited to you and the people you authorize.
  • Your data belongs to you — the home and its families. It is never sold, and never shared with third parties for marketing.
  • No medical details, ever: ordinary website forms are not the place for health information — that conversation always happens privately, off the website.
Questions, Answered Plainly

Before you ask

Do you only build websites for Adult Family Homes?

AFHs are my specialty and my first priority — it’s the world I come from. I also build for other local service businesses: home care, cleaners, landscapers, contractors, churches, and similar. If your work is serving people locally, the same honest approach applies.

Will a new website get my home more residents?

I won’t promise that, and you should be careful with anyone who does. What a good website does is make your home easy to find, easy to understand, and easy to contact — so when a family, placement agent, or discharge planner looks you up, what they find builds trust instead of doubt. Search rankings and lead volume are never guaranteed.

What does the family inquiry form collect?

Only what’s needed for a first conversation: a name, a phone or email, and a short message. Detailed medical or care information does not belong in an ordinary web form — that conversation happens privately, the way it should.

Who owns my website and domain?

You do. Wherever practical, your domain and hosting are registered in your name, and I manage them with your permission. At handover I document what you own and how to reach me for changes. No hostage situations, no mystery accounts.

What costs extra beyond the package price?

Third-party costs are quoted separately and kept transparent: domain registration (roughly $15–$25/year), paid hosting plans if you choose one, premium software, and paid stock photography. A Google Business Profile is free from Google — my $99 fee is only for the setup or optimisation service, and it’s included in the AFH Professional package.

How do payments and revisions work?

Every project starts with a written scope and a 50% deposit; the balance is due at launch. Each package includes a set number of revision rounds, stated up front — so you can ask for changes freely, and neither of us is surprised.

How do I get the $50 referral credit?

Ask the person you’re sending my way to name you in the “Who referred you?” field of the request form below. Once their website is booked and paid, the $50 credit lands on your account for any package, add-on, or care plan. Full tiers are in the Referral Program section above.

My home isn’t in Washington — can we still work together?

Absolutely — Kindred builds for care homes in all 50 states, whether your state calls yours an Adult Family Home, Adult Foster Home, Residential Care Home, Personal Care Home, Adult Care Home, or board-and-care home. Everything is delivered remotely: discovery calls by video or phone, drafts and reviews by email, launch without anyone travelling. We schedule around your time zone, and no in-person visit is ever needed.

Request a Website

Tell me about your home or business

Answer a few friendly questions below — about two minutes, tap by tap — and you’ll see the package that fits your answers best before anything is sent. Press send at the end and it opens an email addressed to me with everything filled in. Every request is reviewed by our studio manager as it comes in and flagged straight to me, and I personally approve each project before any work begins or any payment is taken. If a project isn’t the right fit, we’ll tell you honestly — otherwise I reply by phone or email, usually the same day. No call centres, no sales team, no obligation.
